All throughout Scripture we see that God is not only aware of those who are hurting, but He also cares for them. From Hagar in Genesis to the lepers in the New Testament, God stoops to care and heal with His touch. Just as we see Jesus bending down to heal all throughout the gospels, He meets us too. When our hearts ache, when we feel forgotten, when we face tragedy … He is near.
“I Am” promises “I will.”
I just love that. When we know who God is, we can trust how He will respond.
When Moses shook with fear before a burning bush wondering who God was, God told him,”I AM.” When God’s Son, Jesus, described Himself to His skeptics and followers as the Light of the world, the Bread of life, the Way, the Door and the Life He prefaced those promises with … “I Am.”
God is “I Am” and from the depth of who He is comes the wealth of His promises.
If you are hurting, confused or just need a little reassurance that God does care, is there, is aware and hears your prayers, these “I promise” verses are for you.
“I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.'” (Isaiah 41:13)
