Many of you are probably wondering about the outcome of the recent giveaway on our website of the week long Father Teen Adventure trip to Colorado. The winner of this amazing trip was unable to attend so they very generously gifted the Adventure week to Bob Wilkerson and his son Jack. The Wilkersons are a missionary family who served together abroad in Asia for two years before returning to their home in South Carolina to seek new careers. See below for what Bob has to say about the week at Spring Canyon Colorado with the Father Teen Adventure Program:
This summer, my son and I spent an exciting week in the beautiful Colorado mountains at the Father Teen Adventure at Spring Canyon. We had the opportunity to go rappelling, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, and other activities we had never done together.
My son was a little apprehensive about going, but everyone at Spring Canyon made him feel welcome. The staff was fantastic, and helped us get the most out of our week ... enabling us to bond while having fun together. The exciting activities and nightly discussions helped us grow closer to each other and to God. My son was able to hang around with awesome Christian role models, and learn more about what it means to be a man.
I feel like our experience at Spring Canyon will have a significant impact on our long-term relationship, and was well worth the time away from work. We had time to really talk to each other, and now my son feels like I understand him better.
Special thanks to the Kirk Cameron organization for giving us the opportunity to experience this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
