I took this photo in Bison, South Dakota, and carried one of these giant sunflowers home for my bride.
Don’t they look just like suns? It’s interesting how the Bible uses the word “sun”. In Genesis, the sun is placed in the heavens as the “greater light” which “governs” the whole earth.
Jesus said He is “the light of the world” whom God seated in heavenly places where He “rules” with “all authority… in Heaven and on Earth”.
Scientifically, we know the sun is a giant fireball, around which we fly at supersonic speeds, perfectly balanced and safely positioned for maximum life.
Jesus is God, who describes himself as a “consuming fire” around whom we worship, perfectly positioned by faith for eternal life and glory.
And yes, I scored big points with my wife for carrying them home!
